Thurs. 18th at Ambassador. Whhaoohhh this party is going to be mental!
Here’s why! First off, Summer Solstice hits over that weekend so
there’s going to be some wild energy on the streets of San
Franpsycho!! Second, we have DJ TINA T coming in all the way out from
VEGAS to blow the roof off Ambassador!! She’s too legit, popping up on
MTV’s The Hills, E! News, and also holding down hot spots in Vegas
like Tao, Pure, Rain, Studio 54, Prive, Cathouse, Lavo, Forty Deuce, V
Bar, Krave & Tabu. Currently dominating between Las Vegas & Los
Angeles, Tina is able to pack dance floors worldwide and make her mark
as one of the top up and coming West Coast DJ’s. Bam! Her myspace page
will speak for her! Third, Amandalynn, fine artist, graffiti artist,
ARTIST, and she loves to paint!! She’s amazing and will be painting
live for you all to enjoy:) Fourth, VeeV will be serving complementary
cocktails from 9-10pm(A “Green” Spirtit donating $1 from the sale of
every bottle to the Sustainable Acai Project which benefits farming in
the Amazonian Rainforest, the very rainforest that supplies the Acai).
And of course we’ll be printing new designs for all of you psychos,
but early 9-10:30, so we can come get solstice with you out on the
dance
floor!!

In our first-ever live event, we’ve teamed up with Versus Magazine SF to bring you Friday night’s biggest dance party. We’ll have drink specials at 330 Ritch from 9-11PM while Vin Sol and DJ Clarify tear up the dance floor. The main event will be an exclusive performance by The Cataracs with DJ Havoc!! See you there!
Summer festival season is well underway, and luckily for us, most of the big names are stopping through the Bay on the way to the big stages. If you can’t make it to Sasquatch, Bonnaroo, Rothbury or our very own Outside Lands this summer, check out some of this summer’s must-see artists this week:
The Decemberists, The Fox – Oakland, 5/20: Pretty much sold out since it’s been billed, The Decemberists showcase their new album The Hazards of Love in its entirety as well as oldies in the newly remodeled Fox Theatre in Oakland.
San Franpsycho Presents DJ Vin Sol, Ambassador, 5/21: Live screen printing, Bay To Breakers footage on the big screen and an all out sweat-fest will ensue with the DJ everyone in SF is talking about, DJ Vin Sol. RSVP here and get your booze-moochin’ ass down for free Fernet shots from 9-10pm.
Santigold, The Warfield, 5/21: After a media-hyped lawsuit forced Santigold to change her name earlier this year, the trend-setting genre-bender went on to open two legs of the Coldplay tour and is now headlining her own. See her making a pit stop on her jet-setting tour at the Warfield with Amanda Blank and Trouble Andrew.
Kings of Leon, Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, 5/21: Finally drawing the big crowds in their home country, internationally acclaimed and UK platinum best-sellers, Kings Of Leon take the stage at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Make sure to hustle the scalpers, this show just sold out.
TV On The Radio, The Fox – Oakland, 5/22: TV On The Radio’s lead singer, Tunde Adebimpe has collaborated with everyone under the sun including, but not limited to Atmosphere, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Subtle and even a mainstream acting debut in 2008’s Rachel Getting Married. See him focused and in control with indie break-through openers and fellow Brooklynites, Dirty Projectors.
etd.Pop, Cow Palace, 5/23: Bay Area’s biggest electronic festival always pulls out the big guns (last year’s Tiesto headline, come on), and not breaking with tradition, etd.Pop has Paul Van Dyk, and recent blowups like N.A.S.A. and Flosstradamus all under one roof. Consider us impressed.
